It seems that Apple changed the location of the Boot Splash screen on Tiger - at least on the Developer release (what I have).

It seems that Apple has done away with the Boot Splash sceen PDF in Tiger. Probably they construct the boot splash from smaller composite graphics instead - and there are a half a dozen applelogo.tif files in this beast... making it difficult to pin point...
